Welcome, and thank you for visiting St Andrew’s Church, Twyford. We are delighted you’re here.

St Andrew’s is a peaceful and prayerful place, and we warmly welcome everyone to join us for worship. Services are held every Sunday and follow the traditional language and structure of the Book of Common Prayer.

Our usual Sunday services are:

  • First Sunday of the month – Holy Communion at 10.30am

  • Third Sunday of the month – Evensong at 3.00pm

Whether you are a regular worshipper, returning to church, or visiting for the first time, you will find a warm and friendly welcome at St Andrew’s.

The church is set in a quiet and beautiful spot near a bend in the River Trent, close to the historic site of the former Twyford Ferry. It is a classic English country church, notable for its fine Norman chancel arch and its long connection to the life of the village.

For generations, St Andrew’s has been a place of prayer, worship and reflection, serving both the local community and visitors who come seeking peace and a connection with the past.

Please feel free to explore our website to learn more, or come and visit us in person — we would be very pleased to welcome you.

Hidden just yards from the River Trent, St Andrew’s Church stands as a remarkable survivor — never flooded, despite centuries of rising waters nearby. This peaceful English country church has been a place of worship since at least Saxon times and is rich in history, mystery, and quiet beauty.
