St Wilfrid’s Church, Barrow upon Trent is a village church set within a close-knit community along the River Trent. It is part of the Trent and Derwent Parishes and continues to be a place of worship, prayer, and gathering in village life today.

We meet regularly for services, sharing in worship with the wider benefice and marking the seasons of the Christian year together. St Wilfrid’s is a place where people of all ages are welcome to come and be part of church life.

Our usual Sunday pattern is:

• 2nd Sunday in the month: 10.30 a.m. Worship for All.
• 3rd Sunday in the month: 10.30 a.m. Holy Communion.

Our other activities include:

  • The Tea and Chat group meets in the church on alternate Wednesday afternoons at 2.00pm

  • The village school, Sale and Davys Primary School, has close links with the Church

The church has a wide programme of events that take place over the year, both during the day, and evening events.  These are widely advertise on the St Wilfrids Barrow Facebook and on the church website (please see the link below)

The church building has stood at the heart of Barrow for many centuries and carries a rich history of Christian worship and village life. The Church, at one time, was an outpost for the Knights Hospitallers of St John and has many interesting features, old and new. Today, it remains a living church, shaped by both tradition and ongoing community presence.

Whether you are exploring faith, returning to church, or simply visiting, you are warmly welcome to join us.
